About us

The Ecofeminist Institute is a research-backed organization at the forefront of intersectional climate justice, dedicated to dismantling ineffective climate efforts by providing a synthesis of queer, decolonial, and intersectional ecofeminist research.

Recognising that the environmental challenges of the 21st century cannot be solved by the same logic that created them, the Institute partners with researchers, universities, NGOs, and other institutions to move beyond performative sustainability.

Through consultancy, reporting, training programs, and online and in-person courses, training labs, and workshops, the Ecofeminist Institute integrates intersectional insights into core organisational strategies to work toward a systemic shift where queer, intersectional, and decolonial climate justice and the protection of minoritised people's rights are enmeshed with climate justice work.

Climate governance and global policies should be inseparable from social justice work, and global research and climate science backs this with certainty.

Our Vision

We envision a world where climate justice, gender equality, and the protection of minority rights are no longer sidelined as ideals, but are hard-coded as the central tenets of global policy and business strategy. Our goal is to help you build a systemic shift toward a future where environmental sustainability is inseparable from social equity, and where institutional success is measured by its contribution to both human dignity and planetary health.

Our Mission

The Ecofeminist Institute exists to dismantle extractive institutional logics by providing a synthesis of queer, decolonial, and intersectional ecofeminist research. Through bespoke consultancy, training programs, online and in-person courses, and reporting, we are committed to equipping our partners with the insights, knowledge, and skills to help build resilient organizational structures that honor the interconnectedness of all life.
